Julie and Louis dreamed of a house, without giving up the city. A bohemian cocoon, with soft and natural colors, where they could see their little girl grow up while enjoying a soothing environment. Here, the rural atmosphere meets urban energy, offering the best of both worlds: proximity to Paris and a relaxed lifestyle in the heart of the city. Welcome to them.
Very attached to their neighborhood, their food shops and their pace of life, they wanted to stay in western Paris, close to green spaces for family walks and with easy access to their native Touraine on weekends.
With targeted research and perfectly supervised by Jean-Baptiste, everything was decided in less than a month. He introduced them to this ideal home, and they quickly took the plunge. Between wedding preparations and departure on their honeymoon, her support allowed them to move forward calmly on all their projects, without giving up any.
Bright but in its original condition, this house needed a breath of fresh air. Electricity and plumbing to be reviewed, partitioned spaces... It was necessary to rethink the distribution to restore charm and cachet.
The knocked down partitions opened the volumes and optimized every corner. A pleasant surprise under the eaves, where unused spaces have been freed up to create a spacious master bedroom with adjoining bathroom — a real cozy nest.
Even lost spaces have found a new function: a landing transformed into a bright office thanks to a glass roof, a ground floor toilet optimized with a pocket door to integrate discreet and functional storage.
Julie had a precise vision for their home, and after sharing their inspirations, the couple gave Maison Kyka free rein to imagine an interior that reflected their image.
The studio has created a soft and bohemian atmosphere, where each room is decorated with colourful and poetic wallpaper. To provide clarity and harmony, light oak flooring has been laid on the two main levels, unifying the spaces with elegance.
Custom joinery has been created to bring a unique touch to the house: a library that also acts as a TV stand in the living room, a desk with shelf in the guest bedroom or even an integrated bookcase under the roofs in the master bedroom.
Finally, the charm of the house has been restored: installation of chair rails in the living rooms, doors enhanced with careful details, all elements that give the house character and authenticity. A warm cocoon, between softness and refinement.
Undeniably, the wooden fence, custom-made by the Blomkal workshop, stands out as the signature of this interior. Placed between the entrance and the kitchen, it subtly opens up the space, inviting light to pass through it and to enhance the whole with its delicacy and timeless character.
Between tranquility and elegance, the Albert Kahn district seduces with its green surroundings and its refined atmosphere. A stone's throw from the magnificent garden of the Albert-Kahn Museum, it offers a perfect balance between nature, culture and urban dynamism, ideal for a peaceful life at the gates of Paris.
